Fees and Regulations

  • Northwest Forest Pass required

Driving Directions

To get to the South Burnt Lake trailhead, go 3 miles past Zigzag on U.S. 26 (21 miles East of Sandy, 7 miles West of Government Camp). Turn left on road 27 (one lane paved) and go 0.5 miles. Turn left on road 207 (single lane gravel) and go 4.5 miles to the trailhead. This last 4.5 miles are difficult, but possible, for a regular passenger vehicle because of boulders, stream channels, and mud puddles.
