Sorenson Falls, from the Eagle Creek Trail (bobcat)
The top of Sorenson Falls from the Eagle Creek Trail (bobcat)

Description

Sorenson Falls, also known as Sorenson Creek Falls, is a tall thin veiled waterfall that drops Sorenson Creek to the bottom of the narrow Eagle Creek Gorge. Before the 2017 Eagle Creek Fire, the falls were barely visible in winter from the Eagle Creek Trail, but the incineration of surrounding trees have made a sighting possible even in the summer, when the maples have leafed out. Coming up the trail, you will see Sorenson Falls before you get a sighting of much better known Metlako Falls, which plunge 300 yards to the north. You can also see the top of Sorenson Falls from the Eagle Creek Trail just before you cross Sorenson Creek.
