Description
Sorenson Creek is a rather small, but perennial creek that flows about 90 degrees of Metlako Falls. There are steps so you can (theoretically) cross above the creek, though in the highest flows, the steps are flooded, meaning you'll have to partially walk through the creek. The creek flows right across the trail, and right after flowing over the trail, Sorenson Falls horsetails around 120 into Eagle Creek, right across from Metlako Falls. Unfortunately, the only way to see Sorenson Falls is to wade up Eagle Creek 1.25 miles, climb a rope next to a 15-foot cascade, and wade another quarter mile to Metlako Falls. Some photographers will climb down Sorenson Falls, but this is very dangerous and shouldn't be done. Some photographers will follow the creek below the trail to the brink of Soreson Falls to get a side view of Metlako Falls, but this is a bit sketchy, to say the very least.
