Description

Snowgrass Flats is a large alpine meadow area in the Goat Rocks. The Snowgrass Trail and By-pass Trail go through the flats. There are many good campsites along these trails, and drinking water from the stream between the two trails. Camping is no longer allowed in Snowgrass Flats.

This can be a very busy area in the summer. To get away from the hoards, try going up to the Pacific Crest Trail and along it, or take the Lily Basin Trail towards Goat Lake.
