Hike Description

The small network of trails located in the Shotgun Creek Recreation Site offer multiple options for loop hikes ranging from 1.4 to 5 miles.

This hike is a 4.6 mile loop that includes all of the Upper Shotgun Trail and Drury Ridge Trail.

Upper Shotgun Trail begins near a horseshoe pit at the North end of the Field by shelter 2. Follow this trail along Shotgun Creek for .7 miles before turning uphill and looping around to the Southeast.

Turn left(uphill) onto Drury Ridge Trail at the four-way intersection of Upper Shotgun, Drury Ridge and Tiki Trails. The next .8 miles are steepest section of the loop with 500' of elevation gain.

After 1.9 miles Drury Ridge Trail once again intersects Tiki Trail. Turn left to continue to Lower Shotgun trail. Turn right on Lower Shotgun Trail to return to the parking and picnic areas.
