Driving Directions
Driving south on I-205, take Exit 12A for Highways 224 and 212E, Clackamas and Estacada.
From the merger with Highway 224, drive 3.3 miles and turn right on Highway 224E for Carver and Estacada.
Go 15.3 miles, passing through Carver and Estacada. On the east side of Estacada, at the junction with Highway 211 for Molalla and Woodburn, keep straight on Highway 224 for the Upper Clackamas River and North Fork Lake.
Drive 24.9 miles along the Clackamas River and, just past the Ripplebrook Ranger Station, turn left onto paved FR 4631.
Keep to this road, and drive 2.5 miles to a junction. Here, bear right on FR 4630, which becomes gravel.
It’s another 0.6 miles to the junction with FR 4635, where you turn left.
Drive up this narrow, often potholed road for 8.7 miles to a junction and go right on FR 140.
Go 2.3 miles on this road until you come to a junction at a clearcut. There’s a temporary sign here for the Rimrock Trail. Turn right at the junction.
Drive 0.3 miles and, just past the end of the clearcut, find parking on the left or right side of the road.
