Fees and regulations

  • No fee to enter the national monument
  • Keep dogs on leash

Driving Directions

Drive I-5 south to Exit 55 for Highway 199, Crescent City, Redwood Highway, and Ocena Beaches.

After exiting, drive 0.5 miles and merge with the Highway 199 Spur for Crescent City and Grants Pass.

Drive 2.2 miles and join Highway 199.

Drive 28.5 miles on Highway 199 to the town of Cave Junction and turn left onto the Highway 46 (Caves Highway).

Keep to Highway 46 and drive on this winding, paved road for 19.3 miles until you reach the day-use parking area for the Oregon Caves

Notes

  • At the Oregon Caves, there is a chateau (small lodge) with overnight accommodation and a restaurant
  • Visitor center, gift shop, interpretive signs, restrooms
  • Guided cave tours
