From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Revision as of 03:04, 4 June 2010 by Justpeachy (Talk | contribs)

Pilot Rock trailhead

Hikes starting here

Driving Directions

From I-5 south, take Exit 6 for Mt. Ashland. Follow old Highway 99, which parallels the freeway. Beyond the Siskiyou summit, turn left onto Pilot Rock Road 40-2E-33. After one mile you pass a trailhead where the PCT crosses, but ignore this. Drive one more mile and park in a large quarry on the right side of the road.

Other Notes

Road 40-2E-33 is rough and rocky. It is passable for low-clearance cars as long as you drive carefully.
