Hikes starting here

Driving Directions

From downtown Portland:

Drive Highway 26 east and take Exit 62A for Cornelius Pass Road South.

Merge onto NW Cornelius Pass Road and drive 1.1 miles south.

Turn right onto Cornell Road and proceed another 0.7 miles.

Then turn left onto NW 231st Avenue and go 0.4 miles.

Make a left onto Birch Street and continue straight for 0.4 miles to enter the parking area at Orenco Woods Nature Park.

Alternatives to Driving

The MAX Blue Line stops at the NW 231st Avenue MAX Station. Walk south on NW 231st for just over a block, and then walk east on Birch Street for five blocks to reach the entrance to the Orenco Woods Nature Park.

  • Park open dawn to dusk
  • Restrooms, picnic tables, and play area
  • Dogs permitted only on the Rock Creek Trail in Orenco Woods
