Driving Directions

From I-5, take exit 253 near Salem. Travel east on Highway 22 for 23 miles, and turn left at a blinking light onto Little North Santiam road. This road is paved for fifteen miles through the Elkhorn Valley and turns to gravel and becomes FS 2209 at the National Forest boundary. Travel another five miles on the gravel road, staying left at a junction until the road ends at a gate with a large parking area.

A passenger car can handle this trip, but the gravel road can get very rough, and is only occasionally graded.
