Description

The trailhead is at the back of the Tucker Flat Campground near Marial and the Rogue River Ranch. There are campsites, picnic tables, two outhouses, and parking for 6-8 cars. Parking can be difficult on weekends or holidays during the summer season.

Driving Directions (from the north)

From Portland, drive south on I-5. Beware of the passes between Roseburg and Grants Pass; it gets snowy some times in the winter.

At exit 80, zero your odometer here, then follow the signs southwest to Glendale.

Mile 3: In Glendale, turn right on Douglas County Road #27/Reuben Road. Cross the bridge and turn left past the lumber mill.

Mile 8: Pass Douglas County Road #321.

Mile 16: At the Riffle Creek junction, go left on paved BLM Road #32-7-19.3; follow signs to Marial; the forest roads beyond here aren't well signed and can become confusing; an odometer reading is an important guide.

Mile 24: At the junction with BLM Road 32-8-31 turn right and follow the paved road.

Mile 29: Road junction with BLM Road 32-8-9.2 on right; go left and continue on BLM Road 32-8-31.

Mile 30: Junction, turn left on BLM Road 32-9-14.2.

Mile 33: Marble Gap junction; continue ahead, pavement ends.

Mile 36: Fourmile Saddle junction; keep left and stay on gravel BLM Road 32-9-14.2.

Mile 45: Rogue River Ranch; follow signs to Tucker Flat Campground.
