Hike Description
From Mount June Trailhead hike .6 miles to Mount June Trail-Sawtooth Trail Junction.
Turn right at the trail junction and climb a steep .4 miles to the summit of Mount June.
On a clear day the summit has good views of the Cascades from Thielsen to Hood, especially Diamond Peak and Three Sisters.
Return to Mount June Trail-Sawtooth Trail Junction and turn right (East) towards Sawtooth rock. You are now on Sawtooth Trail #1401. From here it is about one mile to the Western edge of Sawtooth Meadow and another .4 miles to Sawtooth Rock on the Eastern edge.
There is a use trail up to the base of Sawtooth Rock a short way into the trees at the East side of the meadow.
June and early July are usually the best times for wild flowers on this hike.
