Mount Hood from viewpoint below McNeil Point

Description

Yocum Ridge from viewpoint below McNeil Point
File:Mcneillowviewrock.JPG
Boulder at viewpoint below McNeil Point. It's hard to climb up on. Need a human to show scale.

A popular destination is this viewpoint below McNeil Point. Above here the crowds start thining out.

You get great views of Mount Hood, the Sandy River valley, Yocum Ridge across the valley, and down the valley to the West towards Portland.

It's 2.7 miles following the recommended route across Bald Mountain or 2.1 miles if you go directly.

See Yocum End for a view down to here from Yocum Ridge.
