From Oregon Hikers Field Guide

Looking to Whiteface Peak from Lake Como, Mountain Lakes Wilderness (bobcat)

Description

Seven-acre Lake Como is the first lake you'll come to if you're visiting the Mountain Lakes Basin via the Varney Creek Trail. The light-colored scree slopes of Whiteface Peak form a backdrop. There are a couple of places to camp here. The lake is locked with trout.
