Fees and Regulations
- Do not leave any item of value/interest in your car. This is a well visited car clout trailhead.
- Between May 24 and Sept. 5, 2022, a Timed Use Permit ($2 fee) will be required for each personal vehicle accessing federal lands adjacent to the Waterfall Corridor between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. just east of the Bridal Veil off-ramp (Exit 28) to Ainsworth State Park (Exit 35).
Driving Directions
Drive I-84 east to Exit 35 for the Historic Highway and Ainsworth State Park.
Where the exit lane splits, bear right for Multnomah Falls and Ainsworth State Park. Travel 0.2 miles to a Stop sign and turn left for Ainsworth State Park and Multnomah Falls.
Drive west on the Historic Highway for 1.2 miles and turn right into the parking area for Horsetail Falls.
Alternatives to Driving
- Sasquatch Shuttle (parking at Bridal Veil) stops at several Gorge trailheads between the Portland Women's Forum and Horsetail Falls.
