Volcano monitoring equipment at the crest of Harrys Ridge. (kepPNW)
Gentle 350' climb up Harrys Ridge from the Boundary Trail. (kepPNW)
Spirit Lake and Mt. Adams from Harrys Ridge. (kepPNW)

Description

Harrys Ridge is named after the late Harry Truman, proprietor of the Spirit Lake Lodge, both of which are now buried beneath the Pumice Plain between this point and the volcano. This is a wonderful (perhaps the best!) vantage point to enjoy views directly into the steaming crater of Mount Saint Helens to the south, and across Spirit Lake towards Mount Adams to the east.
