Description

Desolation Canyon runs through the heart of the Mill Creek Wilderness. The canyon itself was scoured by the 2000 Hash Rock Fire, but some ponderosa pines and Douglas-firs stand out on the rim, which blooms with shrubby penstemon and snow brush in early summer.
