Hike Description

The trail starts at the Cultus Creek Campground Trailhead quickly climbing up the side of Bird Mountain paralleling Cultus Creek on the Indian Heaven Trail #33. There are views of Bird Mountain, Mount Adams and other peaks on the trail.

After leveling out in the Indian Heaven Wilderness the trail passes by a short side trail to Deep Lake before reaching Cultus Lake and a junction at the 3.3 mile mark. Continue heading south at the junction (do not head east towards Lemei Rock) passing by Lemei Lake and finally reaching Junction Lake after another 1.9 miles past the junction. There are many other possible destinations and routes within Indian Heaven Wilderness.
