Driving Directions
Drive I-84 east to Exit 64 for Highway 35, White Salmon, and Government Camp.
After exiting, turn left on Button Bridge Road for White Salmon and Government Camp, and drive 1.1 miles, paying the $2 toll on the Hood River Bridge.
When you reach the Washington side of the Columbia, turn left onto Highway 14W for Stevenson and Vancouver. Go 1.6 miles and make a right onto Highway 141 Alt. for Trout Lake and the Mt. Adams Recreation Area.
Wind up for 2.2 miles and, at the junction with Highway 141, bear left for BZ Corner, Trout Lake, and Glenwood.
Continue on 141 for 19.3 miles and come to a Y-junction in Trout Lake. Bear right here on the Mt. Adams Recreation Area Highway for Randle.
Go 1.3 miles and keep right at the junction with FR 23 for the South Climb, Sno-Parks, and Bird Creek Meadows.
In another 0.6 miles, make a left onto FR 80 for the South Climb Trail #183.
Keep up this paved road, which soon becomes gravel for 9.0 miles and turn left into a parking a restroom.
