Criterion North Trailhead

Driving Directions

Drive I-84 east to Exit 87 for Highway 197, Dufur, and Bend.

Turn right after exiting, and proceed 0.2 miles to a T-junction.

Turn left here for Highway 197, Dufur, and Bend. Drive south on Highway 197 for 51.7 miles, crossing the Deschutes River in Maupin.

Just past MP 57, turn right into a parking area bordered by a pole-and-rail fence. There’s a microwave array a little farther south on the Criterion Crest.
