Coldwater Peak and Mt. Rainier from Crescent Ridge (bobcat)

Description

This large boulder sits above the deep rift of the South Fork Toutle River Canyon. From here, one can see the top of Mount Rainier, Coldwater Peak, and the Johnson Ridge and Coldwater Visitor Centers, as well as the tip of Coldwater Lake. The Loowit Trail drops steeply from here, but this slope also affords some of the most delicious huckleberry harvesting you will ever experience, so take your time if you're here in late summer!
