Pencil Falls, just below the Timberline Trail in Mt. Hood Meadows (bobcat)

Description

The Timberline Trail crosses Clark Creek after coming down a huge moraine. There's a waterfall upstream and another one just west of the crossing on the trail. The crossing itself is a little tricky although logs placed across the stream in the summer can be used with the help of trekking poles for balance (See Tips for Crossing Streams). Upstream, you may be able to boulder hop across.

There are campsites on the wooded bench just west of the crossing.
