Description

Looking back down the Catwalk

The Catwalk is aptly named. This narrow rock outcrop is right on the crest of Ruckel Ridge. One option on the unofficial trail here is to walk catlike on top of the rocks for about 1/10 of a mile. A misstep here could send a hiker plunging off either side of the ridge. Fortunately there is an alternate path skirting the dangerous section on the south side.
