Turn left on Road 4890, and follow this paved route for 3.7 miles to a well-marked junction with unpaved Road 4891 (left, to Bonney Meadows) and Road 4881, which continues toward the trailhead. Follow unpaved Road 4881 straight for another 2.5 miles to a final junction, this time with unpaved Road 4880. Turn left onto this well-graveled but washboard-plagued road and continue the final 4.0 miles to the trailhead -- a wide spot on the left, marked by a large signboard.

Driving Directions

To reach the trailhead, drive on US 26 to the Highway 35 junction, then follow Highway 35 to the Forest Road 48 junction, on the right, just beyond the bridge over the White River. Follow paved Forest Road 48 south down the White River valley for 6.9 miles to the poorly marked junction with Road 4890.

There is no water or restrooms at this trailhead.
