Description
This obvious meeting of the Boulder Creek Trail #478 and the Boulder Lake Trail #463 is in the heart of Boulder Creek's old growth. The many signs still designate the former as the Crane Creek Trail, meaning they are more than 35 years old. Going straight will take you on an increasingly deteriorating trail that will be covered with much blowdown. Going left takes you across a substantial footbridge over burbling Boulder Creek and about half a mile up to FR 4860 and the Boulder Lake Trailhead.
