Driving Directions
Take Exit 3 off of I-405 for Highway 30W and St. Helens. Stay left and in the middle lane for about one mile until you reach the Nicolai Street traffic light.
From the Nicolai Street junction, go 47.0 miles and pass under the Lewis and Clark Bridge which crosses the Columbia to Longview, Washington.
From the bridge underpass, it’s another 4.7 miles before you peel off to the right on a narrow exit before the settlement of Delena.
This is a section of the old Highway 30 that is now called Beaver Falls Road. Keep on Beaver Falls Road for 1.6 miles and pull off to the left at a gap in a white guard rail. This is the access point for 11-foot Upper Beaver Falls, which can be seen from the road.
To continue to the Beaver Falls Trailhead, drive another 1.9 miles and turn left into a large gravel pullout. The trail begins at the east (left) end of the pullout.
Other Notes
- The official county sign at the trailhead seems to have been removed as of December 2013.
