Trail cams are pretty easy to destroy.
If you can find them. It doesn't take much to carefully conceal a trail cam and car clouters are generally working fast and don't take time to search carefully.

Sorry about your broken windows!!
I was there, and had the luck of the only intact windows. I leave nothing, not even change in the car, and leave all consoles open, empty. Can’t leave the glove compartment open because the light inside drains the battery. It seems there’s a greater than 50% chance of having a broken window at that trailhead overnight, any day of the year. Definitely would be fruitful for the district to install a stealth cam or park a stealth cop car. I personally won’t park there again overnight. That area is such a daily year-round crime magnet, just wow!

Sigh. I came here looking for updates because I wanted to do this trail this week. Now I'm not so sure.
