Greg and I saw it on Saturday, May 2, perched on a trailside stump. We thought, "What an odd-looking rock!" and kept hiking. Neither of us realized it looked like a boot!

Yeah!!! It's back. I didn't have a camera with me to prove that it indeed was gone. My friend, Chris, can verify it. It is in a different position based on Jack's picture.

Either it was thrown down the hillside and someone retrieved it, or someone took it and brought it back. Strange

It's still gone

Went back a couple weeks ago for the first time in years, hoping it had reappeared for the second time, but nope. Maybe next time I'm there I'll search the area more thoroughly.

It must be the third disappearance, because I hiked up Hardy Ridge in February of 2021 and it was there.
