Sahalie, Koosah, & Proxy Falls 06-29-2014

Well, had my share of World Cup action on Sunday, decided I needed to get out, so off to the usual late start!

Never have stopped at Sahalie, glad I did, wish I had gotten there earlier, but the short stroll along the river is quite magical with the crazy amount of water in the McKenzie right now:

Koosah:

Then it was just a short drive over one of the most fun roads to drive in the state! The 242!

Next stop was Proxy, my all time fave:

Raced up to the top for sunset, wasn't exactly the most spectacular, but the openness, and quiet was only interrupted by the occasional mosquito! They are a hatchin!!!

I visited Koosah and Salahie Falls in late August of 2011. There was a lot of water going over the falls.

Probably any time in the summer is a good time to visit these waterfalls.

I really like this shot. What is the shutter speed you are using? You had to be still while the camera captured the waterfall in a soft flow. I'll have to try that sometime. Thanks for sharing.
