Started at the trailhead on a beautiful, sunny morning just past 8am. There was only a slight wind and the temp was about 34.
Mt Hood was completely visible and it was nice to see it so full of snow.
This trail does provide a nice variety of landscape.
Completed the loop up and then down to Little Maui in under 3 hours.
Caught some eagles on a tree near the river. They did a nice pose.
The trail was pretty muddy and it seemed all the locals know to get there early while the trail is still frozen as they were all finishing when we were starting. The mud was very sticky, but there were a few areas of snow that would temporarily allow us to clean our boots.
There were no flowers evident. The Labryinth - 2023-03-01
