Trip Report for https://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guid ... _Loop_Hike
I hadn't been on this loop for a long time, long before the Eagle Creek Fire. Was a little worried about what it would be like, but a little fire can't ruin this one. The first couple miles feels much the same, except for the occassional blackened tree trunk. Well, and also of course the fact that Multnomah falls seems to get more crowded every year.
There was a guy fly fishing at Weisendanger falls
I remember the area where you join up with the Wahkeena trail being a dark well covered forest, that part feels much different to go through now.
It was a toasty day, but Wahkeena Falls was nice enough to cool me off.
I briefly considered hopping on the waterfall trolley for the last half mile back to the lodge
Here is a video I also made going through the whole hike with footage of different parts of the trail and it's condition

That section where you turn right off Larch Mountain onto Wahkeena was overrun with larkspur a few months ago.
