On Wednesday, March 24th I attempted to drive to the Johnson Butte Trailhead

[https://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guid ... _Peak_Hike] . Unfortunately after driving around a hour in from Brookings, the forest service road 1909, the only way to get to the trailhead, was completely blocked by a landslide
. There were both many trees on the road and large piles of rocks blocking the road. It was completely unpassable, and don't attempt to drive to Vulcan Lake/Peak until you confirm with the Forest Service that the road is clear!
