I keep finding ticks in weird places

I found a squished bloody tick in a ziplock bag in my pack. I know when I had that bag out, so I know where I must have picked it up. Creepy. Better in my pack than on me.

Found a Spyderco knife today. See pic below. Spider? No, sorry, that looks nothing like a spider.

I had a very old version of a similar knife (Spyderco Ladybug) in my running pack today when we almost encountered each other. Assuming that one is also small (but not serrated? the Ladybug is serrated), that's a nice find! Those are good, tiny emergency knives.
