Bells Mountain Trail is temporarily closed through March 31st, 2021, Mon.-Fri. for logging operations. (As the field guide mentions it could be.) The sign is posted at the Moulton Falls - Bells Mountain Trail Junction and indicates the closure is 2 miles up the trail.

The irony! I remembered there was a trail in that general vicinity, a long low trail that could be a good trip for a winter day when I didn't want to drive far and wanted something new. But I couldn't remember the name, and couldn't find it on the map. Now, thanks to this topic, I know it's Bells Mountain, but I can't go there, and when I do finally get to it, it will be ravaged by logging. Drat!
