Wildcat Mountain Road closed to New McIntryre Trail

Tried to drive to the New McIntryre Trailhead on Nov. 5 and found it gated at the junction with the road to the Douglas TH (by the quarry). Seemed early, so I called the forest service and was told it is gated during hunting season and then kept locked over the winter. Just FYI as I could not find Wildcat Mtn Road or FR3626 listed on the Mt Hood forest roads table showing road status. If anyone has other information, I would be interested. Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up! I'm heading up next weekend so I'll plan on starting from the quarry.

I'm pretty sure the gate was open yesterday when we walked by it at the intersection with road 105. Maybe they opened it again after deer season was over and they'll close it again when the snow gets too deep?
