Hello!
I just moved to Northeast Oregon from Minnesota and am so excited to get out and explore. I am a newbie when it comes to planning hikes and finding the right spots. Any tips and tricks for hiking and camping in Oregon (especially northeast) would be much appreciated! So far I have only been to Mount Emily and hope to visit many more areas. I'm interested in mushroom hunting, mountain biking, hiking, and nordic skiing

welcome
The Wallowas are in northeast. One of the best hiking and backpacking areas in the galaxy
For maybe 3 months in the summer when they're not snowed in
Click on "field guide" then "eastern oregon"

Ditto what RJ said, though I'm not sure I'd limit things to the galaxy. Find a Wallowas map and start planning some hikes. Search for Wallowas hikes on this website. Send questions via posts or PMs (personal messages) to authors of trip reports. It's really hard to go wrong in the Wallowas.
