Coast Range Coniditions

Post by SCtoPDX » September 22nd, 2020, 12:15 pm

Anyone been out to Elk or Kings mtn TH recently? I was thinking of doing the Wilson River traverse this Saturday, but given the recent wind event I'm concerned there will be a ton of blow down.

Thx!

I was out there this past Sunday. There was only minor blowdown on the Wilson River section between the Elk and Kings THs, mostly small stuff. There were a few trees larger than 5-6" down across those three miles of trail but they were easy enough to climb over or around.

Nothing like the carnage on the Ramona Falls trail.
You know exactly what to do.
There's no need to be afraid.
Keep walking.
