Junction Lake - Indian Heaven

Post by drm » June 26th, 2020, 1:53 pm

Nothing like an early season heat wave for a bluebird visit Indian Heaven just as the snow disappears and before mosquitoes get too bad. I imagine that there is a lot more snow at the highest lakes (Deep, Wapiki) but while the trails have plenty of snow patches and banks, the lakes are mostly melted out. 90s at home in The Dalles, 70s up there.

Thanks for the update drm! At what elevations have you seen serious mosquitoes (if any)?

Also seems like it will be beargrass banner year - good news for the upcoming alpine season.
