Flowers near Home - 4-17-2020

Post by dmthomas49 » April 19th, 2020, 1:28 pm

Took various flower pictures from woods not far from where I live. Even if we can’t get on trails, it is nice to find some flowers.
The best find was this chocolate lily.

The trillium were still in bloom, but some were fading to their reddish/pinkish color.

It appears that trillium like to grow near evergreens. I noticed this also in our back yard. Do anyone know if this is the case?

Some nice irises were starting to appear.

In several places I found Camas Lily.

Mushrooms.

Lots of Bleeding Hearts open.

Skunk Cabbage.

Then several that I could not identify:

This one had not opened but someone had weedwacked one of the bushes.

This was my get out and social distance attempt.

Thanks Adam. I knew you could quickly identify these. I wish I had you flower and plant knowledge!

I do too. They are so well camouflaged that they are hard to locate.

You are fortunate to live where you do. The camas lily pic gave away the location. I will miss the blue flowers this year. :(
