Per request, thought I'd post up some birds from Phoenix!
I'd always thought AZ - bone dry, no wildlife.
Great place only about 10 mins drive from where I'm at. Anyone visisting Phx should add this to the list of stops!!! Easily saw just as much or more compared to Fernhill/Jackson Bottom. Maybe it's just this time of year, but was truly an impressive surprise

I was also pleasantly surprised by my visit to the Phoenix area a couple years ago. Turns out the Sonoran Desert has a lot going on. Much less desolate than the Mojave.
(It definitely helped that my trips were in April, November, and February!)

Yeah it's truly been completely different than anticipated! Not looking forward to the heat, however, it's been nice to have some fresh canvas/places to explore.adamschneider wrote: ↑February 14th, 2020, 9:54 amI was also pleasantly surprised by my visit to the Phoenix area a couple years ago. First Night Heron!

Great bird, rodent & reptile pics. I had not seen a night heron in my walks, either.
