Not a question on trails per se, but just on this forum in general.
I was doing some digging to find some beta for a hike I've been wanting to do for a while and I keep finding old trip reports where all of the photos are replaced by "Image" (that or blurred out Photobucket watermarks.) Anyway is there any way to load the images?

Re: Loading images
I don't think so. I guess people thought PhotoBucket's free image hosting would be around forever, but obviously it wasn't.

Re: Loading images
Some people upload images right here on the site, but many more people embed their images from wherever they are hosted (such as Flickr). If they close their account on that photo site, or lose it because that site changed their terms, then the images that were embedded here go away. Photobucket is a good example of this, and so is Flickr (last year they changed it so that free accounts could only have a certain number of images, and so a lot of images went bye-bye when people decided they didn't want to pay for a pro account).

Yeah, I figured it was a lost cause. Thanks anyway!

Free services are great as long as they stay that way, but nobody should really count on that. "You get what you pay for" is usually correct.adamschneider wrote: ↑December 11th, 2019, 7:53 pmI don't think so. How do you do that? I thought the only way to include an image in a post was to link to something like Flickr.

Re: Loading images
click "attachments", click "Add files", select the picture, position the cursor where you want the picture, click "Place inline"
