Table Mt From Shelly Lane/Aldrich Butte 11.2.30
Eerily vacant of hikers these says - if you want solitude this is the ticket.
Stealth parked past the bogus bad neighbor scare away signs up on USFS land under the power lines.
Used the old Aldrich Butte access road which is in fine shape yet.
Checked out the now defunct Dick Thomas trail we used to use from Moffett Springs Hotel and it is quickly being retaken by the forest.
Newer Mazama's made signage -
Stream near the Heartbreak Ridge info board -
People have been here, gum drop -
Obligatory Table sheer face picture from Katherine Huether view point -
Looking down the boulder field re route -
Sign down, not been up Table in 5 years but I think this has been down for more than that -
South view point summit pictures -
Carrot for lunch -
Pano from the Northway trail area -
Went down Westway and that is really just a super swell trail. Safe enough for Grandma even. No poles needed here.
Went down and over Cedar MT and decided to revisit part of a old hike DN led a few of us on back in Nov of 2013. That area under Cedar Mt is really sucky AF these days, nothing like the magic I remember just 6 years ago. Better to just stick to the Cedar ridge these days.
One nice are of depression on the old DN route on the flanks of Cedar Mt -
Back up on Cedar Mt ridge -
Hiked around the western flanks of Aldrich Butte on a very nice trail. Been meaning to check it out since Amanda Wildman posted a Hamilton Creek TR years ago.
Car safe and sound, but I did leave my GPS either on my car roof or it fell out of my fanny pack when getting my car keys. No biggie, returned this morning and walked up to where I parked and found my old GPS. Love a happy ending!
Lame signage -
This is the one I really like - Recreation pointing up Cascade Lane with no official recreation sites other than a tiny city park! I can guarantee you this sign was for the old Aldrich Butte TH back in the old days -
11.5 miles and about 4300'

Glad I came back, pics didn't load the first time.
Cedar Mtn is such a fun route, probably the best way to Table.
North ridge isn't always good for Grandma, tricky when icy.
