Timberline Trail

Post by LeslieJ » June 26th, 2019, 2:47 pm

Looking to do the Timberline trail early August with some friends. We are looking at doing it in 4 hiking days and 3 nights, going clockwise. As such, can anyone recommend the best places to camp. We will be 4 peeps in total. Thanks!

Jerry says it all, it's all in the field guide.

I'll only add one thing... if you are going over a weekend, strongly consider going anticlockwise. Especially if you are starting on a Friday from Timberline Lodge. Probably 75% of hikers go clockwise and if you don't time it right you'll spend the whole trip surrounded by other groups. If you go anticlockwise, you'll get a lot more solitude.

Thank you both TeachPDX and Retired Jerry! :D
Since you guys seem like very well hiked and traveled, my sister and I are immediately heading down to circumnavigate Sisters (CCW). Can you recommend good late summer campsites? We are doing that hike in 4 days 3 nights. Sistas doing Sistas! We think that's hysterical....
