Cairn Basin status?

Post by lalahikesnw » July 8th, 2019, 8:28 am

Anyone been up to Cairn Basin in the past week? Based on TR for the TT, it seems doable but wanted to check in on how much snow might still be on the trail as I will have someone with me who is less experienced. I expect bugs will be starting to get bad, but that's the price you pay :)

Thanks all!!

for anyone interested - just talked to my coworker who ran the TT in 10 hours on Sunday. He said that the trail was clear of snow in this region (and most of the mountain)

Hey, I guess the bugs can't keep up with you at that pace!

Yeah that was my general reaction. I kept repeating, "wait...10 hours???" BTW he summited Rainier 2 days before...no big deal
