Construction Activity on Trails - Bonneville Dam to Hood River - June to December 2019

Post by WilsonConstruction » June 14th, 2019, 7:51 am

BPA and their contractors will be conducting transmission tower and access road/trail maintenance in the Columbia River Gorge primarily between the Bonneville Dam and Shellrock Mountain from June to December 2019. Construction crews may also access other areas between Shellrock Mountain and Hood River. Please use caution and watch for heavy equipment and vehicles on the following trails where the trails cross the transmission line right-of-way and access roads:

Tanner Creek to Eagle Creek Trail (#400)
Buck Point Trail (#439)
Ruckel Creek Trail (#405)
Pacific Crest Trail (#2000)
Herman Creek Trail (#406)
Wyeth Trail (#411)

Also watch for construction traffic on trails near Starvation Creek State Park and Viento State Park.

Delays on these trails may be necessary during some construction operations. Please note that the Eagle Creek Trail, Buck Point Trail, Ruckel Creek Trail, and Wyeth Trail are currently closed per USFS.

Thanks for the heads up!
Believe it or not, I barely ever ride a mountain bike.
