Conditions at Waldo Lake?

Anyone been up to Waldo Lake recently?

I'd like to go in the next few days.

From what I'm reading, snow shouldn't be an issue (please correct me if I'm wrong).

What about the mosquitos?

No firsthand info here, but Waldo is pretty high up there. Well above 5000 ft. So, snow is very likely an issue still. The other side of the coin is that once the snow is mostly melted, Waldo is extremely buggy for the next several weeks. I'd call the Oakridge RS and ask if the road is clear and the campgrounds are open, yet. They'd know that much at least.

Thanks for the feedback-- made me go back to check snow levels and, yeah, it seems like I'd be pushing it. Onto Plan B!
