Road to Dickey Creek Tr blocked
Road to Dickey Creek Tr blocked
I attempted to drive to Dickey Creek in the Clackamas River District yesterday but found a large tree across Road 6340 about a mile up from the Rd 63 junction.

Thanks for the warning.
*Update* - Road to Dickey Creek Tr blocked
I checked the status of Road 6340 today and found that the log had been cut out wide enough for my pickup to get through. But about a mile beyond that a mudslide created another obstacle. It's not a huge mudslide but it's big enough to block the road.
This road leads to several trailheads: Dickey Creek, Pansy Lake and Bull of the Woods.

Any updates? Has anybody made it up to these trailheads yet?

Here is a photo of the slide from about a month ago:

It looks passable with high clearance, but they said it was kind of soft.

I drove across it today. It's solid enough but very lumpy with rocks of varying sizes. My Tundra made it across without a problem but I wouldn't attempt it with a small car.

Planning on hiking in that area with friends this weekend; do you think a 20yr old Outback could make it? I'm bringing a shovel. I have to assume the slide is fairly dry with a week of hot temps.
Also considering road walking to trailhead if it's <2-3miles...

It's worth a try, especially if you're willing to walk to the trailhead if things don't work out. The slide is dry and compact enough to drive on. The problem is the rocks. You might be able to dig out and move some if they're not too big. Right now there's a high spot that would be an obstacle for an Outback. Maybe you can find a way to maneuver around it.
It's about 1.5 miles to the trailhead from the location of the slide (the slide is about 1/2 mile before you get to the 140 spur road, then it's about one mile on 140 to the trailhead).
