Just saw this, excellent movie. Quiet, understated, mesmerizing and heartbreaking. Military vet and his teenage daughter living off the grid, camping in forests. Although in the film much of the setting is supposed to be Forest Park apparently Eagle Fern Park was one of the principal filming locations. Well worth watching. The lushness of the Pacific Northwest really shines through on film.
A different type of movie, but another I enjoyed that featured the city and the forests around the Portland area was "Gone" with Amanda Seyfried. It got trashed by critics and bombed at the box office but I thought it was a tense thriller that was a decent watch.

I just watched Leave no Trace on a long flight and enjoyed the movie. I'll second the recommendation if you like slower movies, although the pace worked well set the mood and tone of the story. Still need to check out the other one - I hadn't heard of it outside of this thread.
