Mosquito net rim repair

Post by Izzie » February 24th, 2018, 10:04 am

Hi everyone,

We have this awesome mosquito net that just covers the head of the sleeping bag. The fiberglass rim has split and poked through. (see pics) Has anyone had any luck repairing something like this?

Thanks for any help,
Iz

Fiberglass is notorious for splintering and not being repairable. That is why one should never buy a tent with fiberglass poles, unless you don't care a hoot about its longevity. The only solution I know of is to replace it. Maybe a moderately stiff wire that is bendable enough to shape?

I haven't checked with the manufacturer, but yes I'll look into replacing it depending on what they say. I appreciate your answers. Thanks!
