Large Tree on Vista Point Trail 119

Post by arlohike » November 28th, 2015, 9:24 am

I saw this large tree blocking the Vista Point Trail 119 last weekend. Unfortunately, I don't remember the details of the location, but I think it about halfway between the 420 and 420C junctions, after a hairpin. The first photo is looking uphill, with the ground falling away to the right, which I think only happens in the higher part of that trail.

I climbed over (it was a bit too low to crawl under), but the unsturdy, protruding branches and the fairly steep drop beside the trail made it kind of sketchy.

This was cleared by Tyler and a PCTA crew yesterday, Dec 6.
